We are excited to start introducing you to our fantastic team members here at Holroyd Homes! First up it’s Danny Wright, our site manager! Danny is the man on the ground who keeps everything running seamlessly.
Here he is telling us a bit about his role and giving some insight into what it’s like being the site manager at Broad Lane Farm, Upperthong.

Talk us through what a typical day is like for you on site
No one day is ever the same! I’m on site before 7 every morning Monday to Friday and the first three hours tend to be the busiest as deliveries start arriving on site from around 7.30. I’ve got a varied role which includes things like co-ordinating the deliveries coming onto site, overseeing all the different trades and making sure site tidiness is maintained. Other things include general office work, dealing with emails and making sure we’ve enough supplies in, right from building supplies through to having milk in for brews!
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Definitely working with the team here. The team on site are brilliant and help make the job enjoyable.
The other thing I enjoy is the sense of achievement I get every time I walk onto site. Standing back and admiring what we have created and achieved as a team on site so far is a really great feeling.
Why should someone buy a ‘Holroyd Home?’
The quality of the builds are second to none. I think the homes speak for themselves, and when you take a look round you can really appreciate the quality and attention to detail that has gone into them. I think we stand out above other newbuild houses for that reason as the standard of the finishes are exceptional.
Before the houses go to market, we take a team approach to ensure things are to the highest finish. We’re only human, and where mistakes have been made and our customers might find something not quite right, we appreciate the feedback and try and rectify things as quickly as possible for them.
What are you looking forward to most with Phase 2 (The Cottages) of Broad Lane Farm?
I’m looking forward to us putting back together a local landmark in Upperthong. The old farmhouse buildings have sparked up a lot of interest in the local community and the feedback I’ve received from the people living locally are that they’re excited about the old building being put back together again.
I’m looking forward to us being able to mix the old with the new and I think that they are going to really stand out and will look fantastic.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy meeting up with friends and socialising on a weekend although this has been a bit limited at the moment with lockdown! I enjoy spending time with family, and I’ve 2 daughters at home, the youngest will be starting high school in September. I also find the time to read, I have two books on the go at the moment!
