It’s been full steam ahead recently at our current development as the new community at Seventy Acre Farm is really taking shape.
Seventy Acre Farm, located in Honley, is a redevelopment of a former cattle barn into eleven characterful new homes and is a lovely example of modern, energy efficient properties retaining characterful heritage features – the best of both worlds.

Three homes at the redevelopment have completed in the last couple of weeks and it’s been wonderful welcoming the lovely new owners to their homes at Seventy Acre. One further home is set to be occupied by Christmas and, with progress happening thick and fast, the other homes are really pushing along too.
Here’s a look at where we’re currently at in terms of progress with the properties;
Plot 1 (The Farmhouse) and Plot 2 (The Stables) and Plot 3 (The Mistal) – COMPLETED and the new owners have received their keys.
Plot 4 (The Hay Barn) and Plot 5 (Broughams Barn) – both homes are at a similar stage and are waiting for their final lick of paint throughout from the decorators. The externals, such as the turfing and planting, will be completed in the New Year just prior to the new owners receiving their keys.
Plot 6 – Holdsworth House – this home is finished and is due to complete before Christmas. In the meantime it’s a case of addressing the final finishing touches, completing any ‘snagging’ and a sparkle clean.
Plot 7 – 11 – the new roof is in place and internally the joiners, electricians and plumbers have started their first fix. We’ll see huge progress with these in the New Year and we’ll be excited to share this progress on our social media platforms as it happens.
With seven homes currently either sold or SSTC, the remaining four homes (plots 8-11) are due to be launched in the New Year! The remaining homes are two-and-three bedroom properties in a breathtaking setting overlooking Castle Hill and stunning rural views.
