Meet the person behind the social media account!

Carrie-Anne is our marketing and social media guru at Holroyd Homes – read on to find out more about her role in the family business!

What’s your role and what’s a typical day like for you?

My role is really quite varied and is currently part time which fits in nicely with having young children.

I’m largely desk based so you’ll normally either find me at the office or on my laptop working from home. Most of my time is spent dealing with emails and phone calls and ensuring our social media accounts are informative and look good!

I go to site regularly to meet with the team and to have a catch up on progress with our site managers. Whilst I’m there I make the most of it and I’m always on the lookout for photo opportunities so that I can update the social media platforms with up-to-date photos and videos of the progress being made on site.

I work alongside the Directors, Jack and Richard, to ensure that the marketing side of things are as seamless as possible and support them where I can. I also oversee the social media side of things for our sister business, Edge Student Living.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

One of the things I look forward to most in my role is going to site and seeing the transformation that happens on a week-to-week basis. Though I’ve been in this role a good few years now, it still surprises me how much progress can happen in such a short space of time.

Another really enjoyable part of my job is hearing from our purchasers how much they love their Holroyd Home. I’ve had the opportunity to meet with a few of our purchasers recently and it’s been lovely to hear from them directly about how much they genuinely love their new home. To know that we’re building beautiful homes that people are proud to live in is an amazing feeling.

Why should someone buy a ‘Holroyd Home?’

Because we care and as a team we put our heart and soul into delivering quality homes.

Our homes are built by a small team of skilled craftsmen who really care and this definitely translates into the build of each home. When you see the finished homes, it’s clear that every attention to detail has been carefully considered and that they are each bespoke and individual. The approach right from the outset was – if we were building a house from scratch for ourselves, what would we want it to include? No shortcuts have been taken and the homes all sit in very generous plots, have an unrivalled specification and are located in beautiful rural settings.

What are you looking forward to most with Phase 3 at Fold Farm Lane?

I’m really looking forward to seeing the top end of site being transformed and to seeing the finished development as a whole.

Phase 3 is set to look slightly different aesthetically compared to phase 1 and 2 and it’ll be exciting to see as it’s the re-invention of the old stone barns that once stood at Fold Farm. They’ll be sympathetically rebuilt with a modern agricultural twist and so will be unique in that sense.

Work is already underway for phase 3 and before we know it, we’ll be launching these final three properties on the market – watch this space!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

My husband and I have 3 small children so we spend a lot of time being kept on our toes by them! It’s all go most of the time, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We tend to get out for walks on a weekend and I get to the gym when I can during the week. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that it’s been amazing to get back to doing more ‘normal’ things recently such as going on holiday and seeing friends; experiencing lockdown has definitely made me appreciate these things a lot more.
